Privacy Policy — The Crowd Said

Effective date: July 22, 2026 · Developer: seemebro

The Crowd Said is a multiplayer virtual-reality game show for Meta Quest, developed and published by seemebro (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app uses, why it uses it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what the game needs to work, we do not sell your information, and we do not show ads.

Information we receive from your Meta account

When you launch the app on an entitled Meta Quest device, we receive, through Meta’s Platform SDK and with the permissions you granted in Meta’s Data Use Checkup: your Meta username (display name), an app-scoped user ID (an identifier unique to this app, not your global Meta account ID), your Meta Avatar (so you appear as yourself in the show), and your profile/avatar image URL. We use these solely to display your name, avatar, and photo to you and to other players in the game world, such as on nametags, team rosters, and leaderboards.

Voice chat

The Crowd Said includes live proximity voice chat, transmitted in real time to other players in your room using Photon Voice (a service of Exit Games GmbH). Your microphone audio is streamed live for the duration of the session and also drives your avatar’s lip-sync. We do not record, store, or archive voice audio. Once spoken, it is gone. You can mute your microphone at any time from the in-game menu.

Multiplayer session data

While you play, gameplay data (your avatar’s position and pose, button presses, game state, team membership) is relayed between players through Photon Cloud servers (Exit Games GmbH, region: United States) to make the shared session work. This data is transient — it exists only for the running session and is not retained by us afterward.

Game statistics we store

To power visit counters, leaderboards, and the Hall of Fame, we store per-player statistics using PlayFab, a Microsoft service. Keyed to your app-scoped ID, we store: number of visits, total playtime, games played, games hosted, wins (lifetime and monthly), first-seen and last-seen dates, your visitor number, your display name and avatar image URL, and any in-game roles or unlocks (for example, staff status). Some of these — your name, photo, visits, playtime, wins, and games played — are visible to other players on in-world leaderboards and record boards. Test devices and development sessions are excluded from public leaderboards.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect or receive your real name, email address, precise location, contacts, payment information, or any biometric data. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We never sell or rent any information.

Third-party services we rely on

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — identity, entitlement, avatars (their privacy policy applies to your Meta account: https://www.meta.com/legal/privacy-policy/)
  • Exit Games GmbH (Photon Fusion & Photon Voice) — real-time networking and voice relay (https://www.photonengine.com/privacy)
  • Microsoft (Azure PlayFab) — player statistics storage (https://privacy.microsoft.com)

Data retention and deletion

Your stored game statistics persist so your progress follows your Meta account between sessions. If you would like your statistics deleted, email us at theangelshow12@gmail.com from any address, tell us your Meta username, and we will remove your player record within 30 days. Uninstalling the app stops all collection immediately.

Children

The Crowd Said is intended for users who meet Meta’s minimum account age in their region (13+ in most regions). We do not knowingly collect information from children below that age; if you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the associated record.

User conduct and reporting

The app supports Meta’s User Reporting Service. You can report another user’s behavior through the reporting flow; reports are delivered to us securely through Meta’s encrypted reporting inbox and handled according to Meta’s policies and our community standards.

Changes to this policy

If the app gains new features that change what we collect (for example, an in-game shop), we will update this page and the effective date above before those features go live.
